Placed
Refund policy
This page describes how payment, holding and refunds work for orders on Placed. Last updated 17 August 2026.
How payment works
You pay up front. We hold the payment while we verify who you are and review the content against the outlet's rules. Only once that clears do we commission the placement — nothing is pitched before then.
Prices are indicative
Final cost, format and availability are confirmed when content is approved for publication. If the confirmed price is lower than the price shown, you pay the lower one.
Provisional invoice
Stripe sends a provisional invoice for the prepayment. It is not the final bill. Listed rates stay indicative until content is approved for publication.
If a placement does not run
Where a commissioned placement has not published within two months and we have no update from the outlet, we will offer an equivalent outlet of comparable standing, or a refund — less any content-writing fees already incurred.
What is guaranteed
On paid formats, placement is guaranteed — you are refunded if it is not placed. Earned editorial coverage is never guaranteed: editorial pitching is an add-on, and editorial responses and coverage depend on independent journalists.
Paid placements are advertising
Sponsored articles and press releases publish with the outlet's own paid-content label. They are not earned editorial and should not be described as independent coverage. Traffic, Domain Authority and similar metrics are supplied by the outlet or its provider and are not independently audited.
How refunds are issued
Card payments are refunded to the original payment method through Stripe. Questions about a specific order: placed@incryptoland.com.
